Late 1800s -

• Walter John Walgamuth provided painting services in North Dakota.
• Walter Leo Walgamuth, superintendent of a large painting firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota, then started his own painting business in Glendale, California.

1963 -

• Walter Geiken Walgamuth, after working with his father for several years started Waldor Company in Sepulveda, California.

1966 -

• John Walgamuth began painting with his father at Waldor Company.

1970 -

• John Walgamuth oversaw a problem HUD housing project and turned it around to bring it to a successful and timely completion.
• John's first assignment as foreman was heading up a crew of six in repainting the Long Beach Hyatt Hotel. Completed successfully.

1972 -

• Waldor Company added waterproofing and technical coatings to their painting services.
• John Walgamuth attended schools and seminars to gain additional knowledge in the principles of
  waterproofing and coating. Studies were made regarding rust, epoxies, multi-part caulkings, and elastomeric coatings.

1975 -

• John Walgamuth moved with his family to Northern California, and soon after Walgamuth Painting was formed.

1976 to 1982 -

• Walgamuth Painting focused primarily on residential painting while completing some commercial products.

1983 -

• Walgamuth Painting shifted its primary focus to large commercial and industrial projects.

1993 -

• Donn Walgamuth joined his parents at Walgamuth Painting.

1998 -

• Michelle Wecker joined her parents and brother at Walgamuth Painting.

Today....

• We serve commercial, industrial, and custom residential contractors and clients throughout Northern California.
• We have established a reputation for quality workmanship performed as scheduled in an efficient and timely manner.
• We have sustained conservative, steady, and planned growth.
• We are one of only two painting contractors in the North State to be certified by labor relations in the training of painting apprentices.
• We are the only contractor in the North State to offer a full benefit package to our employees including: life, health, and dental insurance, paid vacation, and a retirement plan. This gives us the opportunity to recruit and keep some of the best professionals in our industry.
• We own and operate 4 boom lifts and 2 scissors lifts. Having the right equipment readily available allows us to complete large projects in a timely efficient manner without compromising quality.
